A New Direction for American Public Education
By Nell EdgingtonI’ve written before about the potential for some serious education reform in America because of the Obama administration and their appointment of Arne Duncan, former Chicago Public Schools superintendent, as Secretary of Education. Arne has a great track record and some exciting ideas and experience with education reform. There is more insight into his ideas for how he will reform the American education system in his recent interview on Charlie Rose:

This was a great interview – thanks for sharing. We do alot of work in education marketing, and have been pleased to work with KIPP Austin, TAMEST, E3 and others – as consultants and collaborators – to improve education. It’s very inspiring to hear about Obama and Sec Duncan’s bold ideas for change – I couldn’t agree with them more.
I agree. It will be interesting to watch how American public education changes over the next 4 years.
