Social entrepreneurial organization YouthBuild rebuilds lives and communities by helping disadvantaged youth work toward a high school diploma or GED while they build affordable housing for their community. They are simultaneously solving two problems facing communities across the country: poverty and homelessness in an innovative way. And they’ve seen great results. In the 14 years they’ve been in operation, YouthBuild has worked with 76,000 kids to build 17,000 housing units in 226 of the country’s poorest communities. And they have grand growth plans.
