Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas
We worked with their mentoring program for children of incarcerated parents to create a pitch to investors for growth capital. This was part of the Texas Social Innovation Initiative in partnership with Dallas Social Venture Partners, the OneStar Foundation, and Root Cause. They presented their pitch to 300 potential investors at the BigBang on June 10th, 2010 and received the audience award of $5,000. They are now taking their pitch to potential investors around Texas.
H.I.S. Bridge Builders
We worked with the education and employment services arm of this nonprofit that serves the economically depressed areas of metro Dallas. We helped them create a pitch to investors for growth capital. This was part of the Texas Social Innovation Initiative. They are now using the growth pitch to get in front of potential funders throughout Dallas.
